We Do Not Provide Monthly Installment For Painting Services

By PaintingGuy On February 19, 2010 440 views | No Comments

For the past few months, we have painting services clients asking for installment for the services we are providing. We are not able to do so as we do not have any collaboration with any of the banks here in Singapore.

Here are some of the reasons why we do not take up installment:

1) We pay our laborers in a week. Due to the natural of the service, a very labour intensive one, we have to pay our workers according to how many days they work every week. The banks are not able to pay us this fast.

2) The banks will draw commission from the installment plan. Every bank will draw a certain percentage of commission from the amount that is being charge. We will not be able to profit much after using installment plan. I guess most of you will not be willing as well.

I hope you understand our position, where our work is very labour intensive and time consuming. This does not mean that we will not use credit card installment in the future. We might consider or continue to use the current system. It will depend on the market needs.

Is Our Painting Company HDB Recognized?

By PaintingGuy On February 8, 2010 612 views | 2 Comments

The answer to the question above is no. We do not need to receive any recognition from the HDB departments in order to paint HDB flats, be it interior or exterior. Most of the painting contractors or companies are not recognized in Singapore. I have not heard before that HDB department recognized any painting companies in Singapore.

As long as we do not tear down any walls in the HDB flat, we are not required to have any license or recognition from the HDB boards.

This was asked by a customer inquiring on painting services yesterday, so I found it good to share with you all.  However we are a private limited company and we are accountable to our clients and the S’pore Govt (if you know what we mean!) :)

Choosing Paint Colours For Your Home Can be a Headache

By PaintingGuy On February 2, 2010 469 views | No Comments

Having headache choosing colour for your walls? To tell the truth, 60% of our clients do not have any idea which colour to choose for their house. So thank God that our contractors know how to choose the most suitable paint colours for your walls.

Here is how we choose the colours:

1) Natural lighting. Depending on the direction your house faces, we will choose the colour accordingly. Reflection also part a part in it too. Please note that Feng Shui is not part of it.

2) Furniture theme: Your overall outlook of your furniture will help us in determining the colours. Please note that if furniture are not there, we are not able to make appropriate recommendations, but you can always tell us the theme or even show us pictures of the furniture you are going to purchase.

3) Floor. Most floor types in Singapore are using wood or marble. And the colour of the floor will be a factor as well.

4) Height of ceiling. This is the most unknown fact in choosing colour for your walls.

That will be all for the choosing the most suitable colour for your house walls. Of course this can only be done when our contractors are there (your home or place of painting) will we be able to advise on the colour of the walls.

Good news is that we offer a free no obligation viewing for your house. There is no charges for the viewing, but if you want to make it up to us, please offer a coffee or tea to our contractors when viewing.
