Plastic Drop Cloth To Protect Your Furniture While Painting
This is for those of you who have furniture in your home or office, and needed our painting services. Good news for you is that our painting contractors will always cover your beloved furniture from paint, especially while we are painting the ceilings. Droplets of paint which sometimes is almost invisible to our naked eye.
Most of the time, the ceilings are painting in white, unless the owner has special request will we use different colour for the ceiling.
Back to the topic, we will always use a plastic sheet called “Plastic Drop Cloth“, which is usually a 9 by 12 feet in length and breadth. What this Plastic Drop Cloth does is to protect against paint spills and splashes, or even protect vehicles and furniture from dust and dirt.
It is a non slip, waterproof plastic cloth, which is easily spread out. It can be found in most of the paint stores in Singapore, and it is relatively cheap, it will cost around $1.20 to $1.50. For those of you who wants to DIY painting your home, should seriously consider using this for your furniture protection.
For our painting services, we will use around 3 to 4 plastic drop cloth for a 5 room HDB flat, also depending if we are bring more people to paint and the number of furniture in the house as well. So if you are looking to get someone to paint your house, do fill in the no obligation paint viewing form here.
We Do Not Provide Monthly Installment For Painting Services
For the past few months, we have painting services clients asking for installment for the services we are providing. We are not able to do so as we do not have any collaboration with any of the banks here in Singapore.
Here are some of the reasons why we do not take up installment:
1) We pay our labourers in a week. Due to the natural of the service, a very labour intensive one, we have to pay our workers according to how many days they work every week. The banks are not able to pay us this fast.
2) The banks will draw commission from the installment plan. Every bank will draw a certain percentage of commission from the amount that is being charge. We will not be able to profit much after using installment plan. I guess most of you will not be willing as well.
I hope you understand our position, where our work is very labour intensive and time consuming. This does not mean that we will not use credit card installment in the future. We might consider or continue to use the current system. It will depend on the market needs.
Close For Chinese New Year
Hi there,
We will be close from 14th Feb to 16th Feb 2010 due to Chinese New Year.
You can still make appointments with us from 17th Feb 2010 onwards (after Chinese New Year).
Our Painters and contractors still need to rest, but we will be ready to serve you even better after the rest.
I wish a Happy Chinese New Year and enjoy the long holidays next week.
Is Our Painting Company HDB Recognized?
The answer to the question above is no. We do not need to receive any recognition from the HDB departments in order to paint HDB flats, be it interior or exterior. Most of the painting contractors or companies are not recognized in Singapore.
As long as we do not tear down any walls in the HDB flat, we are not required to have any license or recognition from the HDB boards.
This was asked by a customer inquiring on painting services yesterday, so I found it good to share with you all. However we are a private limited company and we are accountable to our clients and the S’pore Govt (if you know what we mean!)
Choosing Paint Colours For Your Home Can be a Headache
Having headache choosing colour for your walls? To tell the truth, 60% of our clients do not have any idea which colour to choose for their house. So thank God that our contractors know how to choose the most suitable paint colours for your walls.
Here is how we choose the colours:
1) Natural lighting. Depending on the direction your house faces, we will choose the colour accordingly. Reflection also part a part in it too. Please note that Feng Shui is not part of it.
2) Furniture theme: Your overall outlook of your furniture will help us in determining the colours. Please note that if furniture are not there, we are not able to make appropriate recommendations, but you can always tell us the theme or even show us pictures of the furniture you are going to purchase.
3) Floor. Most floor types in Singapore are using wood or marble. And the colour of the floor will be a factor as well.
4) Height of ceiling. This is the most unknown fact in choosing colour for your walls.
That will be all for the choosing the most suitable colour for your house walls. Of course this can only be done when our contractors are there (your home or place of painting) will we be able to advise on the colour of the walls.
Good news is that we offer a free no obligation viewing for your house. There is no charges for the viewing, but if you want to make it up to us, please offer a coffee or tea to our contractors when viewing.

Paint Your House Before Chinese New Year
Time is really running fast this year, 3 weeks ago was only New Year for 2010 greetings from us, soon in 3 weeks’ time it will be Chinese New Year soon. So if you want to paint your house before Chinese New Year, now is the time to take action.
By the way, there are quite a few of the enquiries about Nippon Paint and ICI painting services – both companies have painting services that are just the same as us.The enquiries are about both the companies having a discount for using their painting services, or even giving out free vouchers for other related services.
Do take note that even IF there is a discount or vouchers for other related services, they will still add up (or subtract) to almost the same price as us. Our HDB painting services prices and condo painting services prices do have a distinct advantage over the two companies.
At the same we offer a 2 year warranty for using our painting services, whereas Nippon Paint offers only one year.
Yes, you might be thinking… Will your painting services be just as quality as the both of them? To answer this, we are just as good as Nippon Paint and ICI Paint.
In fact we are so confident that we can do just as good as them — that we offer a longer warranty than them.
You can always use our Free No Obligation House Viewing to decide. We are just as good too…..
P.S. You can download a Guide to Beautiful Paint Colour Combinations to help decide your paint colours. Make your home more beautiful this coming Chinese New Year!
Why Condo Painting Is More Expensive Than HDB Painting
A lot of enquiries on why condo painting services is more expensive than HDB. Here are the 3 main reasons why:
1) Renovation works are not allow after 5pm, and that includes painting services too. As Condo is a private estate, wanting to make sure that the condo residents are not disturb when they return back from work. They have this rule for all the renovation works and painting services. But for HDB flats, as long as its not disturbing the neighbors (with noise), it should be fine.
2) Painters are paid daily. Because of the work time limit enforce by the private condos, we are not able to work longer than the HDB flats. Thus adding to one or two additional day of work, which will be incur in the painting services costs.
3) Condo walls may be higher. This is also the reason why its more expensive. With additional area, meaning buying more paint to cover the additional area (in terms of height). Of course not all the Condos have high walls and ceilings, so that is why we offer a Free No Obligation Viewing For Painting Services.
We still offer the same quality of paint and workmanship no matter if you are living in a condo, HDB or landed property. With a 2 Year Guarantee, you have nothing to worry from, because we prided ourselves in giving the best quality and reliable painters in Singapore. Contact us now!

Exterior House Painting Services Singapore
Painting the exterior part of your house is not common thing in Singapore. As the land is scarce and the government build our homes vertically (most are HDB flats). That means that painting a exterior building or house is not a daily work for us.
Usually its those who owned landed property will have to use exterior painting services for their houses. As painting exterior houses is different from painting interior houses, we will need to view the house exterior so that we can give an exact painting quotation for the house exterior.
Painting exterior houses will require more days than interior houses, due to weather and setting up of scaffoldings, which will take up some time.
We have experienced professional painters in Singapore, that will help to paint the house exterior safely, fast and with quality. You can always fill in the form and contact us for a no obligation viewing. Click Exterior House Painting Services: No Obligation Viewing.
Labour Only Painting Services (No Longer Available)
We do provide labour only painting services in our company. As more and more were asking for this service, I did ask our customers why they want to use the labour only painting services, and here are their answers:
1) I got cheaper paint from someone.
2) I still have paint left over from the previous paint job.
We are okay to go ahead with using the paints which are purchased or left overs. Because from what I see, is that the paints may most probably be expired. Well not actually expired but more of the loss of the original colour as it was used before, or even worse… some that are a few years old that even have dents on the paint container.
This may even led to further implication like different colours on different walls, if you intend to use the same colours for the walls. This has happened to us recently, so I like to bring this up to help you understand what are the problems we are facing.
Most of the time we have bad experiences with customers who wants to use labour only painting services. Now we have solutions for the problem:
a. We have to confirm with our customers that the paint is enough for all the walls and ceilings (sometimes the paint were not enough due to miscalculation). That is why we have a policy to view your home or office or building, that is no obligation. Our consultant will be able to advise you on how many containers to purchase or needed for your home. Click here to get our no obligation viewing now.
b. The paint are to be ready latest by the day BEFORE the painting starts. As our workers are paid in daily basis, we would request that the customers to follow our time schedule, to avoid more cost from both sides.
If you have any more questions on labour only painting services, please contact us using the form here. Thank you.
P.S. If you are looking to use Nippon Paint, you can download the paint colours catalogue here.
