Labour Only Painting Services (No Longer Available)

By PaintingServices On November 21, 2009 No Comments

We do provide labour only painting services in our company. As more and more were asking for this service, I did ask our customers why they want to use the labour only painting services, and here are their answers:

1) I got cheaper paint from someone.

2) I still have paint left over from the previous paint job.

We are okay to go ahead with using the paints which are purchased or left overs. Because from what I see, is that the paints may most probably be expired. Well not actually expired but more of the loss of the original colour as it was used before, or even worse… some that are a few years old that even have dents on the paint container.

This may even led to further implication like different colours on different walls, if you intend to use the same colours for the walls. This has happened to us recently, so I like to bring this up to help you understand what are the problems we are facing.

Most of the time we have bad experiences with customers who wants to use labour only painting services. Now we have solutions for the problem:

a. We have to confirm with our customers that the paint is enough for all the walls and ceilings (sometimes the paint were not enough due to miscalculation). That is why we have a policy to view your home or office or building, that is no obligation. Our consultant will be able to advise you on how many containers to purchase or needed for your home. Click here to get our no obligation viewing now.

b. The paint are to be ready latest by the day BEFORE the painting starts. As our workers are paid in daily basis, we would request that the customers to follow our time schedule, to avoid more cost from both sides.

If you have any more questions on labour only painting services, please contact us using the form here. Thank you.

P.S. If you are looking to use Nippon Paint, you can download the paint colours catalogue here.

Why Using Cheap Painting Services In Singapore Is a Bad Idea

By PaintingServices On September 15, 2009 No Comments

There are good reasons why you should avoid using cheap painting services in Singapore, and how it will not benefit you after the service is completed.

Reason 1: Most of the workers are not legal in Singapore

This is the main reason why they are able to offer you is because they use illegal workers, and they pay them very low in their labor. From what I know for those working in the construction site, they are getting less than $30 a day for the super hard work. It’s not much. Some of them came from the construction site (doing part time on the weekends), some do not even have a working pass to work or stay in Singapore.

Note that even if they have a working pass to work here, the pass is only meant for the work they initially applied in, if they are in the construction or road works, then painting services is not not for them to work in.

You as the employer of the painting job or service, may not be penalize by employing them, but the work may be left unfinished when they are caught. And you have to employ the legal painting workers to finish up the incomplete work. This alone may have cost your time and money.

Reason 2: The paints have problems

The second reason is that some of the painting contractors may have some old paints or cheap paints that are not authorized to be use in Singapore. They are very cheap to use and even have the same features as some of the popular paint bands in Singapore. But the reason why it is not authorized is because Singapore government did not approve of the paint element, which might be harmful to human or living things.

Here are the two main reasons why some company offer cheap painting services. Bear in mind that they are also human, and they just want to fill their stomach and to survive in Singapore which has an expensive lifestyle here.

Always find good reliable painting contractors that is registered with the Singapore government, and that it has good customers testimonies. If you are interested to use our painting services, do contact us via the contact form, click contact us for no obligation viewing here.

How Much It Cost To Paint One Wall In My House?

By PaintingServices On August 16, 2009 No Comments

Recently, I realised that a lot of people are calling in to ask how much it will cost to paint a wall or two in their home. To answer and give our reasons why is it this way, below are breakdowns:

How Much To Paint a Wall?

Basically the price of painting a wall or two is the same as painting one room,  which range from $250 ~ $320. Read Price For One Room Painting Services.

Reason For Fixing At This Price?

The main reason why it’s range from $250 to $320 for a wall, its because the price for the paint and the workmanship is fixed. For the workmanship, we will still require one man to do the job and is included the time and transportation to your house.

I hope that you will understand that we are still doing a business. And we will advise that you DIY painting yourself, as its one wall only and its not practical to engage us in painting one wall only.

Price For One Room Painting Services

By PaintingServices On July 4, 2009 No Comments

I have been receiving calls on “How much it cost to paint for a room in my house?” I will ask them a couple of questions before answering them, here are my questions:

  1. What is the type of house you have?
  2. Which room do you want to paint?
  3. How many colour do you want in the one room?
  4. What is the type of paint you intend to use for your wall?

There are reasons why I ask them these questions, because so that I can answer their question on the price for painting for a room. As all these questions will help me know what is the size of the room, how many container of paint I will need to paint the one room, and the type of paint they want to use.

All these questions revolve around the pricing of painting one room. It will largely depend of the type of paint (high or normal price range), and how many container of paint are require (number of colours) that will determine the price.

Whereas for the worker’s fee is fix, around S$180/per room (include fee for worker and company). So the range for painting a room in Singapore is from S$250 ~ S$320, for 1 colour and 1 white colour for the ceiling in a single HDB room. For living room, it will range $280 ~ $350.

The best way is to let our painting consultant to have an appointment with you, and discuss what you want. The viewing is free and no obligation. Click Painting Contractor Appointment to fix date with us.

I hope this answer the question on “How much it cost to paint for a room”.

What Colour Should I Use For My House?

By PaintingServices On June 18, 2009 No Comments

Do you help recommend colour for my house? This is the newest question that I found while talking to customers. Basically we do recommend colour to your home.

It boils down to the type or style of home you intend to have. Another factor is the furniture, they will also determine the type of colour you should use.

Colour Selection On Style

Depending on which style you prefer, take me for example I like Japanese style and plain simple type. I will use white as the base, and for furniture will use mike white, light gray, a bit of black in the furniture. Of course, this will also mean that the other things that are in the house will also help blend in the colour combination.

For best result, it’s better to engage a home designer who can consult you in your prefer type of style.

Colour Selection Depending On Furniture

There are two scenarios, one is that you have not purchase the furniture yet, the other is that you already have the furniture.

Choosing the furniture first will be a better idea, as it will be easy for you to determine which colour to use. After you have purchased the furniture, you will be left with the limited colours that are suitable for your house with the purchased furniture.

Read paint colour selection for more infomation.

No matter, remember to be flexible as there will also a way to help you decide the best choice of colour for your home. Our painting contractors will be able to help you choose the suitable colour for your home.

Painters In Singapore: Are They Reliable?

By PaintingServices On May 11, 2009 No Comments

Have you heard of some bad comment from some friends who used painters in singapore that did not provide sufficient service to their home? And you are wondering how to find a good reliable painter in Singapore?

There are a few ways you can find out whether they are reliable:

Friend’s Recommendation: This is also known as word of mouth, which is the best way to find reliable painters. This is the best advertising for any type of business, as it is free and you have someone who is happy with the service and is willing to tell others about it. I must say that our business is mostly coming from friend’s recommendation; almost 50% of our business in painting comes from recommendation.

Registered As a Singapore Business: With this in hand, the painters are accountable to you as well as the Singapore government. Because once the customers find that the painters did not provide the services they should be, the customers can complain to the Singapore government. So the painters have huge accountability to you as a customer.

Testimonials from Past Customers: Well this may not be the best, but they must have at least some testimonials from their past customers on the website, telling how good, how fast the painters are. How happy they are in engaging the painters.

There is a clear line when you want a reliable painting service, compared to a cheap service. You will decide which to use depending on your budget.

Do note that once you have engaged cheap painters in Singapore, your home may not be in the shape (colour) as you intended with the cheap painters. It is always better to have quality reliable painters in Singapore, where you pay for quality. You decide.

Painting Contractors Singapore: How To Find Good Ones?

By PaintingServices On March 3, 2009 No Comments

Finding good painting contractors in Singapore can sometime be a headache, as you will not know what are the things you as a home owner.

I have list down how to determine the painting contractors are good to service your home:

1) Free No Obligation Viewing

Some of the painting service company does not offer this service to the home owners or the office owners. This can really help in helping the owners in explaining and understanding what the owners want.

In this way, it also helps the painting contractors in giving actual quotation instead of just the phone quote. The painting contractors would like to see the home or office, as there will be some area that on phone the owners might have miss out.

2) Giving Good Painting Recommendation

A lot of home owners do not have idea what colour to paint their home. Of course those that engage interior designers, the designer will determine the colour with the furniture. A tip in how to determine your home colour is to know what the majority furniture colour is.

If your furniture are mostly black, then you might want to have the walls maybe in white colour. The thing is to have a contrast in the colour, even if the furniture are mostly white, you can use a different white to contrast it.

Lastly is that you might want to have a room (most properly living room or dining room) to be your feature room, so the colour of the room will be a different one from the other rooms.

3) Attitude Of The Painting Contractor

This is what I think is the best reason to use the painting contractor. The whole world now focus on service of the service provider, they are in the end customers to us. It is right for them to get good service, so the attitude of the painting contractors is the only reason that the owners engage you.

You might think that price is your focus, I agree but price cannot be the main reason.  It’s always the service that counts.

If you want to find good painting contractors in Singapore, you might want to consider engaging us.

Painting Services: Frequently Asked Questions

By PaintingServices On February 19, 2009 No Comments

This is a post on some frequently asked questions from Singaporeans on painting services, which I think might answer your questions when you want to engage our painting services.

Q 1. What type of paint do you use for painting our house?

A 1. This is decided by the owners themselves; we will be using the paint according to their needs.

Q 2. How long will it take to finish painting the house?

A 2. Usually for a 3 room HDB flat, which is vacant, we will use about one to one and half days. The most that we took is 3 days for 5 room HDB.

Q 3. How much will it cost to paint my house?

A 3. For a 3 room HDB it will range $600 ~ $800. For 4 room HDB, ranges from $700 ~ $950. 5 Room HDB from $900 ~ $1,200. This is very affordable in Singapore.
