Price For One Room Painting Services
I have been receiving calls on “How much it cost to paint for a room in my house?” I will ask them a couple of questions before answering them, here are my questions:
- What is the type of house you have?
- Which room do you want to paint?
- How many colour do you want in the one room?
- What is the type of paint you intend to use for your wall?
There are reasons why I ask them these questions, because so that I can answer their question on the price for painting for a room. As all these questions will help me know what is the size of the room, how many container of paint I will need to paint the one room, and the type of paint they want to use.
All these questions revolve around the pricing of painting one room. It will largely depend of the type of paint (high or normal price range), and how many container of paint are require (number of colours) that will determine the price.
Whereas for the worker’s fee is fix, around S$250/per room (include fee for worker and company). So the range for painting a room in Singapore is from S$350 onwards, for 1 colour and 1 white colour for the ceiling in a single HDB room. For living room, it will range $350 ~ $500.

Hi David,
The cost for painting 1 room HDB is range from $250 to $320. You can choose 1 colour for the walls, plus white for the ceiling using Nippon Matex.

Thanks for the comment. It will cost $1200 to $1600 using Nippon Matex. You can choose up to 3 colours for the walls, and the ceiling will be in white. Meaning there will be 3 (walls) + 1 (ceiling) colours.
If you want to use premium paint like ‘Eash Wash’ or ‘Nippon Odour-less’, it will be $1500 to $2000. You can choose up to 3 colours for the walls, and the ceiling will be in white. Meaning there will be 3 (walls) + 1 (ceiling) colours.

It will depend on how many coats you are applying. I think you should purchase 5 litre for 2 coat (1 room) should be enough.

I cannot find where is the form you mentioned in your comments to post, but I do have some inquiry to make:
1. I want to have a room painted.
2. 2 walls of white and 1 wall of mint green + 1 ceiling—> how much do you charge?
3. Do you reckon I do all the electrical re-wiring before painting or should I paint the room first?
4. Does the brand of paint affects the painting fee?
5.By the way, i am staying in a 4-room HDB flat @ Tampines St 11.
